Academic Year and Sessions

Before you can start using the platform, you'll need to set up the academic years and sessions.
Open 'Settings' → 'Academic Years' from the left sidebar menu.
Click the 'Add' button on the 'Academic Years' page (Figure 1).
In the window that opens:
Enter a name for the year in the "Caption" field (e.g. "2024 Academic Year")
Select the start date from the calendar in the "Start Date" field
Select the end date from the calendar in the "Due Date" field
Once you've added an academic year, you need to add sessions or terms within that year. After submitting the previous form, the Academic Year will appear. Click the 'Sessions' button, that available under a three-dots drop-down menu. (Figure 3).
On the 'Sessions' page that appears, click 'Add' button. In the window that opens:
Enter a name for the session in the 'Caption' field (e.g. 'Fall Semester')
Select the start date from the calendar
Select the end date from the calendar
The New Session will appear in the Sessions list.
